2 socks OTN-These are on of my current project for the week. Knitterly Things Vesper Sock yarn in the colorway Summer Evening. It is the from her June-August Club. I signed up last week for another 3 month dose. Gorgeous. Nobody does self Striping like Julia.
This sock is the Cadence Socks by Very Busy Monkey. A pretty easy knit with dramatic results. I am using my Platinum Sock Yarn by Wool2Dye 4 dyed in Jaquard Pink.
Needle Tip-
When dividing stitches to begin the heel flap, when the patter says turn back and S1 and knit 31 stitches, don’t start next round and S1 and purl back! Read and follow the damned pattern already. Ugh. I know how to do a heel flap.
Upcoming Stash Report-
This new yarn line is supposed to go live sometime early next week from SSYC. A finger weight sock that looks promising. The color orange with any worth while depth is something that is lacking in the dyer world for some reason. I am interested to see the details when it gets up in the store front.
Planning on spending the day knitting and sipping coffee. Sounds like a perfect day.
Postscript
These fuckers were in time out for awhile. The heels, cuff and toe will be ripped out and re-knit. Lucky me. My inexperience at the time led to not quite right construction. Deep breath…I can do this.
“I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.”

Change the coffee to tea and I agree that is the perfect day.
Ha ha! I love the idea of leaving socks on a time out! I actually might have laughed out loud at that! Seriously though, you are so talented – I wish I was half as good at knitting as you are!
Thanks for the kind words. Not so talented as persistant. I may take a photo of all my failed attempts and post that!
That’s a good idea! There should be an international “Post Your Failures” day!
